Operating in a highly regulated and mission‑critical environment, the organisation is undertaking significant modernisation initiatives across cloud, integration, and enterprise platforms.
Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As a Senior Solution Architect on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract (through to December 2027, with possible extension), you'll play a key role in shaping and guiding enterprise‑scale solutions across .NET, Azure, and Dynamics 365.
You'll work across legacy modernisation, cloud migration, and platform‑based solutions, providing architectural leadership, oversight of delivery partners, and trusted advice to business and technical stakeholders. This role balances hands‑on technical depth with strategic judgement, ensuring solutions are sustainable, secure, and aligned to future state architecture.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Legacy modernisation & cloud migration:
Dynamics 365 & Azure architecture:
Strong understanding of implementing and configuring Dynamics 365 solutions
Ability to judge when to configure D365 versus building custom .NET solutions
Deep knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, APIs,
and SQL
Strong architectural judgement balancing platform capability with custom development

Desired Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
* 15-20+ years' hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale .NET applications, progressing into Dynamics 365 and cloud environments
* Proven experience working in complex, regulated, or mission critical organisations
* Strong understanding of application life cycle management, support models, and technical debt
Legacy modernisation & cloud migration:
* Demonstrated experience migrating legacy .NET solutions to Azure
* Ability to assess current state architectures and define modernisation and re platforming strategies
* Experience reimagining legacy systems as cloud native Azure solutions
* Solid understanding of BizTalk Server, enterprise integration patterns, and migration to Azure Integration Services, APIs, and event driven architectures
Dynamics 365 & Azure architecture:
* Strong understanding of implementing and configuring Dynamics 365 solutions
* Ability to judge when to configure D365 versus building custom .NET solutions
* Deep knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, APIs, and SQL
* Strong architectural judgement balancing platform capability with custom development
Business, architecture & vendor leadership:
* Ability to translate complex business processes into clear, practical solution designs
* Confidence facilitating workshops and explaining technical options in plain language
* Experience producing solution architecture documentation, diagrams, and standards
* Strong understanding of security, identity, non-functional requirements, and compliance
* Proven experience governing and assuring vendor delivery, reviewing designs, managing risk, and ensuring alignment to enterprise and target state architecture
