We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory (ADF). The role involves designing, developing, migrating, and supporting enterprise-grade ETL and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in modernizing data pipelines and enabling seamless data movement across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
- Migrate and orchestrate existing SSIS workloads using Azure Data Factory (ADF), including SSIS Integration Runtime where applicable
- Build and manage ADF pipelines, datasets, linked services, and triggers
- Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Blob Storage, APIs, and file systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement robust logging, error handling, and monitoring frameworks across SSIS and ADF solutions
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and application teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Support CI/CD pipelines and version control for data integration assets
- Ensure adherence to data security, governance, and data quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to work directly with US-based teams
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Proven expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), including orchestration of SSIS packages
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server / T-SQL for data validation and transformations
- Experience with cloud and hybrid data integration environments
- Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex ETL and data pipeline issues
- Good understanding of ETL best practices, performance tuning, and data quality management
