Work on AI-driven software used globally
Small team, fast decisions, direct access to the founder — your architecture decisions shape the product
Structured mentorship from a Microsoft Power Platform MVP — weekly technical sessions
You will build and configure model-driven Power Apps on Microsoft Dataverse — implementing features, configuring entities, writing JavaScript and Power Automate flows, and delivering against weekly sprint milestones. You work under the direction of the Development Lead and with structured support from a Microsoft MVP mentor.
This is a delivery role. You will write code and configure solutions from day one.
As the platform matures, you will also contribute to our SaaS/API layer — working with PostgreSQL-backed services and REST integrations. Willingness to develop these skills is expected.
What You Will Do
Build and configure model-driven Power Apps and Dataverse entities, forms, views, and relationships
Write JavaScript web resources for client-side logic
Build Power Automate flows and business process flows
Contribute to REST API and OData integration work
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and weekly review sessions with the team and Platform Mentor
Write and maintain technical documentation
Work with the QA Tester to ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria
Over time: contribute to PostgreSQL-backed API services as the platform's SaaS layer develops
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform — model-driven Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate
JavaScript or TypeScript
Understanding of solution ALM — managed solutions, deployment pipelines
GitHub or Azure DevOps
Full right to work in New Zealand
Based in Dunedin
Desirable:
Microsoft certifications (PL-400, PL-200, PL-900, AZ-900)
REST API / OData v4 experience
PostgreSQL or other relational database experience
Azure fundamentals
C# server-side plugins (can develop on the job)
SaaS platform experience — integration patterns, webhooks, API-first design
Experience in an Agile delivery team
We will consider:
Candidates strong on fundamentals who are motivated to develop quickly
Candidates from adjacent Microsoft stack backgrounds actively upskilling into Power Platform
Recent Otago or Otago Polytechnic graduates with strong foundation skills
Dunedin-based candidates — relocation not supported for this role
Who You Are
You know your way around Power Platform and you want to get better at it. You are comfortable in a small, fast-moving team where you are expected to deliver, not just assist. You take ownership of your work, ask questions when stuck, and finish what you start.
You don't need to know anything about infrastructure projects — we will teach you. We need you to know Power Platform, and to be curious about what sits underneath it.
What We Offer
Competitive salary or contractor rate
Structured mentorship from a Microsoft Power Platform MVP — weekly sessions to grow your skills
A real product with real users — not internal tooling
Small team, direct access to senior decision-makers
Clear pathway to senior roles as the team grows
Dunedin base — work where you live
